Do I have root access to my VPS?

Yes. You have full root access to your VPS. You can modify and manage every file, user, network socket, firewall rule, and so on.

Do I get a control panel?

Yes, you always have the RapidVPS website control panel which allows you to perform high level tasks on your VPS. Click Here for more information. Secondly, you can equip your VPS with a commercial control panel such as WHM/Cpanel for a small upgrade fee. Finally, you can install and self-support one of the many open source control panels on the internet, such as webmin and VHCS.

Can I upgrade my VPS later?

Yes. All of our VPS packages can be upgraded and downgraded at anytime- automatically, at no penalty and without service interruption.

How can I pay?

We accept all major credit card brands as well as Paypal.

How long do I have to wait for my VPS?

All VPS orders are activated instantly. You will receive your login information only minutes after processing an order. Although the competition claim automatic/instant activation, few deliver.

What VPS architecture do you use?

We use a highly customized OpenVZ kernel to enhance and ensure fairness. .

What is the network speed?

We run our own network! We do not lease servers from a datacenter and resell them. Due to this, we can speak intelligently about our network status and make changes to it when necessary. Our network connects with multiple gigabit and OC-48 peers, including TWTC, Savvis, Cogent, Broadwing, and Level3. Our servers are connected to the network at 100 mbit. Do I pay tax on my order?

No. The price you see is the price you pay.

Do you support the APF Firewall.

Yes. All of the iptables modules which APF requires, are available in your server.

Is adult content allowed?

Yes. Any content legal under U.S. law is permitted.

Is IRC content permitted?

No. This includes all forms of IRC clients and IRC servers.

Can I reload my OS?

Yes! You can reload and change your OS at anytime, automatically, via our web control panel. Unlike Virtuozzo's VZPP, which allows you to restore your existing OS only, our panel allows you to change your OS. Today you can be using Fedora and tomorrow, experimenting with Gentoo.

Without a control panel, what can I do?

Everything! The only disadvantage is that you do not have a nice web interface to click around in. If you enjoy or are interested in truly administering a Linux server, a control panel can be limiting and annoying. Discover the power of the CLI! What languages do you offer Support in?

Do you have telephone support?

YES! We offer live, U.S. based telephone support Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM. We offer ticket support after hours and weekends as our after-hours techs may be in the Datacenter and not near a phone.
